Email

Siteworx gives you the option to add, remove and edit your email mailboxes create and delete aliases and setting up spam filters for your domain. First you will need to click on 'Email' from the main menu.

Mailboxes

A mailbox is a mail account set on your domain, allowing you to set up for eg. INFO@yourdomain.com or YOURNAME@yourdomain.com

Click on mailboxes, on the right you will see an area for you to fill in the details of the new account. At the bottom you will see any mail accounts that are already set up. Disk Space Quota is the amount of space the mail account is allowed for storing messages. 'Send Copy to' is for another email address for a copy of any emails received to be sent to.

Fill in the details for the new account and click add.

Aliases

An Alias is used to recieve email on a specific address without setting up a mailbox. Click on 'Aliases' at the bottom will be any that have already been set up.

The email address you would like to receive email on eg. sales@domain would be entered into the top box and the email it will be directed to eg. your home address blah@aol.com or another on the server you@yourdomain.com. Click add and siteworx will report back.

A catch-all is an alias that will forward all emails that are not assigned to a mailbox to a certain address. To set this up enter default into the alias box and an email for the mail to go to, when you have added it siteworx will report back and you will see the new alias at the bottom of the page. If you have done it correct you will see (catch-all) displayed next to it.

Groups

Groups are the same as an alias but is used if you need to forward mail to more than one person. It is set up the same as an alias with the recipients seperated by line.

Auto Responders

An Autoresponder is program that is used to reply to emails without you being present. It is usually used when the owner is on holiday or sick to inform the sender of the email that you may not be replying straight away.

Setting up the autoresponder is easy, just add the email that you would like it set on and the message you would like the sender to receive. You may also add a copy-to address so the mail will be sent to a 3rd party.

At the bottom of the screen you will see any autoresponders already set.

Spam Settings

Your domain has inbuilt spam protection for your email that is powered by SpamAssassin For setting spam rules please see the official homepage of SpamAssassin (http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/SpamAssassinRules)

Webmail

You can access your domains POP3 email directly from the server using your browser. Horde is a webmail application that will allow you to login to a mail account and then send and receive email. To access this once you have logged in to the control panel just click Webmail under Email in the main menu. Alternatively you can login by entering the following: www.yourdomain.com/Horde.

POP3 Settings

To use a mail client such as Outlook Express/Forte/Thunderbird to receive email from your site you will need to enter the following details:

   Incoming Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
   Outgoing Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
   Username: email@YOURDOMAIN.com
   Password: [your password]
   You will also need to tick the 'My outgoing server requires authentication'
