FTP
FTP, Short for File Transfer Protocol is the main protocol for exchanging files over the Internet. Windows has a command line FTP program or Internet explorer can handle ftp connections for you to use although it would be better to download a dedicated ftp program with an easy to use interface like CuteFTP, FlashFXP or Bulletproof FTP. You can have multiple ftp accounts on your site so that different people may access your site for editing/updating.
To access the ftp, click on FTP Accounts from the main menu. In the main window you will see the option for adding
an FTP account and underneath will list any accounts that are already setup. You will notice that account ftp is
marked MASTER and this account cannot be removed as it is the main ftp for your domain. As usual you will be required
to appoint a username and password to any new account and you will see the last option is 'Home Directory'. This is the
directory/folder that your new user will have access to. With this option you can have different users that only have
access to certain folders adding a degree of security.
To edit an account, from the main window click on the 'edit'button next to the account you would like to edit.
you will then have the option to change the user, password or the home directory and click save.
To remove an account, from the main window click on the 'delete' button next to the account you would like to remove. Siteworx will then ask you to confirm you actions.
